When it comes to cleaning anything for your dragon the main thing to remember is the word Antibacterial. Like every living thing on the planet that eats and defecates, their feces have bacteria. Every time your dragon has a bowel movement it should be cleaned as soon as possible.  Spot cleaning should be done daily to remove old food, uneaten live feeders and any feces in the cage or in water dishes. I use disposable gloves when cage cleaning. Always wash your hand well after cleaning a dragon enclosure and keep some hand sanitizer handy too. I NEVER suggest cleaning dragon dishes or decorations in the sink you use for your personal dishes and cutlery. And as a general practice wash your hands and the hands of any children after holding your dragon, every time.
Weekly & Monthly
I spot clean with an organic multi-surface antibacterial spray daily. Once a week I remove everything from the enclosure and clean all walls and floors with the organic antibacterial solution (never use a cleaner with Ammonia) and rise it well with sprays of water after. Everything I remove from the enclosure, all cage accessories etc, go into a tub which goes outside and is filled with hot water and antibacterial dish soap. I scrub all decorations and dishes wish the hot water, dish soap and a sponge then I fill another bucket with hot water to dip the items into for a good hot rinse. Once a month take everything out of the cage and clean all surfaces water and 5% bleach solution I mix myself. NEVER clean with bleach while a dragon is inside the enclosure. Then rinse the entire cage with hot water to remove any residue and let is air dry for at least 15 minutes before putting the dragon back inside. Bleach residue mixed with high heat will create fumes that can cause blindness and respiratory issues in a dragon.
