Feeder Insect Care
Feeder Care
I do not breed feeder bugs, I order them in bulk online. And when 3,000+ crickets get here I need somewhere to put them. This is a 'how to' on a super easy feeder keeper.
What You Need:
1 Plastic garbage can
1 Roll of screen
Egg cartons
Super glue/industrial glue
Paper towel/wrapping paper rolls
Feeder bug food & water gel (we use Fluker's brand)
Cut a large hole in the lid of the garbage can, cut out a larger circle of screen, super glue it to the inside of the lid making sure its totally covered and sealed. Add egg cartons, cardboard rolls and food & water gel. Done!

Keep in mind this offers no temperature regulation so on extreme cold or hot days do not leave them outside. If you are less crafty you can buy feeder keepers at any local pet store. As for feeding the insects I offer carrots, oranges and the occasional leafy greens. I use insect feeder gels for a water & food source as bowls of water can drown bugs and causes lots of unwanted humidity. And always make sure no feeder bug food gets into your dragon's enclosure it can be deadly if eaten.
